Information and Announcements
We ask all parents to complete our
Extended Day Survey, whether
you use the program or not. The data
we get from you will help us in improving and changing the current Extended Day Program to better meet your needs. Thank you.
As part of our Catholic schools week activies, students in grade 4-8 wrote essays titled "What Catholic School means to me."
Three students were selected to read their essays as part of the Catholic Schools Week kick-off Mass.

Our next
Prospective Parent Open House
will be on Wed, Feb 22, 2012 from 9-11am & 12:30-2:30pm.

Recently our preschool students and their 6th grade buddies had a game day.

Our school was visited by Specialists Dan Noonan (Mrs. Noonan's son!) and Liz Fleury from the 822nd MP Company.
They meet with students and presented the school with a flag that flew over their base during their recent
deployment to Afghanistan.

Kindergarten recently celebrated their 100th day of school by bringing in 100 of a given item and having a counting party.

Grandparents/Special Person Day was held on Wed. Feb 1 as part of our Catholic Schools Week festitivies. Nearly 250 grandparents packed the church for our weekly school Mass.
Afterwards everyone enjoyed a reception in the gym and toured the school.

Thanks to all who participated in January's Market Day. We had 29 customers and earned $213.02 for a total of $1,789.83 this year.

News about our Graduates
Fred Masset (class of 1980) is Design Manager for Interior Floor Console Engineering for Chrysler, working at the Chrysler Technology Center in Auburn Hills. He oversees the design and engineering of all interior floor consoles for all Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram products. One of Fred's greatest achievements was the successful launch of the Dodge Challenger, for which he had Interior Engineering responsibility. He earned his Bachelors Science in Mechanical Engineering from Univ. of Illinois Champaign-Urbana and his Masters Science in Mechanical Engineering from Univ. of Michigan-Dearborn A number of our alumni were on the 1st quarter honor rolls at their high school. We are proud of your academic excellence! Marian High School: Joel Godinez, Lauren Kroner Mother McAuley High School: A Honor Roll: Anna Kreja, Samantha Petkunas, Leah Roethle, Teresa Vazquez. B Honor Roll: Laura Roethle Oak Forest High School: Honors with Distinction: Ashley Dillon. High Honors: Ashley Hosmer, Cody Novick Barbara Long Stancik (class of 1946) attended St. Augustine Business School in Chicago and worked for a number of years for Armour and Co. in the Stockyards in Chicago. Barbara and her husband started and operated a number of successful retaurants in the Chicago area, including The Porterhouse Restaurant in Bridgeview and Maggie May's Restaurant in Orland Park/Mokena at l7lst and Wolf Road. She and her husband retired in 1995 and currently live in Morris, Il.
