Ways to Help

Check out some of the ways you can help St. Christopher School.

Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (T.R.I.P)
recycling The Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (T.R.I.P) is a great way to help our school and, for school parents, a terrific way to lower your tuition. Many of the families who participate in the program receive hundreds of dollars off their tuition bill. Here is how the T.R.I.P. program works: You purchase certificates through St. Christopher. These are negotiable gift certificates and prepaid gift cards that are used as cash for everyday purchases such as groceries, gas, clothing, restaurants and other essentials. The school and any student you delegate will receive a credit equal to a portion of the value of the gift cards. For more information, see the T.R.I.P. web site at www.mannagroup.net

recycling Market Day is a fundraiser that is held at St. Chris once a month. Market Day sells a variety of foods, and we receive a portion of the total sales amount. All profits are used by the school for the needs of our school children. This fundraiser gives us the ability to bring both our school & parish community together to help support our children. For more information, visit www.marketday.com or contact Barb Kozicki via the school at 708-385-8776.

Toner, Ink, Cell Phone, DVDs, Video Game/Systems, PDAs, IPods, and Laptop Recycling
recycling These programs help supply the school with extra funds to purchase computer hardware, software, P.E. Equipment, more. Please save the following:
  • empty toner and ink-jet cartridges
  • cell phones
  • DVDs
  • video games and video game systems
  • PDAs
  • IPods
  • laptops

If you have any of these items and no longer want them, please drop them off at the school either in the boxes by the double glass doors or in between the front doors. There are also boxes located at the church. We receive different amount of points or monies for each item we collect. We then can use these points or monies to purchase needed items. All we ask is that the items are undamaged and that empty toner is repackaged into the new box of toner that you used to replace it with. This costs you nothing because you would have just thrown away these items. By donating, you are raising money for the school and helping save the environment from the harmful materials that are in these items. If you are a company that would like to help out but can not bring your items to us please contact us so that we can work with you to develop a solution.

paper recycling
Paper Recycling
We have three paper recycling bins located on the south side of the gravel parking lot on the east side of the school. In these bins we are collecting any paper. Newspapers, Magazines, Office Paper, Construction paper, Shopping Catalogs, and Mail. We will be receiving money for each ton of paper that we recycle and that money will be going towards our school science and technology programs.

Library Book Donation Program
This program allows you to donate books to our library in recognition of a special event (birthday, First Holy Communion, Confirmation, etc.), achievement, or as a special remembrance. Age-appropriate books will be selected by Mrs. Monahan. A minimum donation of $18.00 to cover the approximate cost of most hardcover books will allow us to purchase one book. A donation of $30.00 will enable us to purchase two books. All gifts are tax deductible. To arrange a donation, download our book donation form.
